My Hometown

I’m from Ohio, a Buckeye through and through. I grew up in a small town in Northeast Ohio, called Warren. The best way to describe it, is if you drew a straight line from Cleveland to Pittsburgh, it’s perfectly in the middle, a little over an hour from each. I can’t say we have the best weather there, in fact it’s some of the worst in the country, but aside from that, there are so many great things about growing up in what a lot of people refer to as, “the rustbelt.”

I think first and foremost, you’re raised knowing what is important in life. Love of family, country, faith and hard work are instilled in your from birth. I feel like you get amazing roots from always being reminded about the things that actually have meaning in life, and no matter where you are, or where you’re going, you always have that foundation with you.

Home wears two hats for me nowadays, Nashville and Warren. I have made my home in Nashville for the past six years, and I must admit that every time I’m driving on 65 and I see that skyline, I get so excited and can’t believe I actually get to live here. It’s such an amazing city. Having said that, there’s just something to be said for your hometown.

Home is such a special thing. It’s where your heart is, where the people you love are, and it’s the place that helped make you who you are. As I start a new chapter in my career and am faced with many difficult decisions and exciting horizons I realize now more than ever how lucky I am to have grown up where I did.

Lots of Love,
