For my latest project, my team and I decided I was in definite need of a fresh start. We had to breathe new life into my music, and not just record the same old thing, but record something that showed my growth as an artist. It was a challenge I was thrilled to undertake. So we decided the first step would be to find a new producer.
For two months, we set out to take as many meetings as possible with as many different producers as we could. I have to say it was a dream come true, meeting with some of the greatest producers Nashville has to offer, and I can’t tell you how honored I was that they agreed to meet with me. More times than not, I was in awe of the people I was talking to thinking about the iconic songs they had to their credit.
It was our very last meeting of the bunch, when I met my future producers. My manager and I walked into the room to what was an electric amount of energy; you could actually feel it in the air. I met each of the four guys: Tully, Kurt, David and Rich, who make up the production team of New Voice Entertainment. It didn’t take long for me to know this was the absolute perfect fit for me, I was just at this point hoping my manager agreed! I thought it would be a good idea for them to hear me sing in person, so I sang a few songs and after we sat around talking, and getting to know each other!
I was thrilled when we left the meeting, so excited about working with such an awesome group of guys! I thought they totally got me and would push me to where I needed to go. Just then my manager asked me what I thought and I said, “I have to work with them,” he laughed and said, “I agree I think this is the perfect fit!” I was so excited, step one had been completed, I was getting produced by New Voice!
