The best part about being home is of course getting to spend time with my family, but most especially my niece Phoenix! I wake up every morning and head straight to my sister’s house to see her!
Phoenix had no idea I was coming over, and was so excited when I knocked on the door! I have to say it’s one of the best feelings in the world when she’s so excited to see me! I know one day, she won’t be that thrilled, so I try to savor every second of it!
I was sad to realize Phoenix was sick! She went from a kid that was never sick, and now ever since she has gone to preschool, she’s had every bug known to man! Today she was fighting a cold and cough!
I told her we could do whatever she wanted! So, we started off by watching, “Goonies!” “Goonies,” is Phoneix’s new favorite movie! She’s obsessed, and it’s hilarious to hear her talk about all of the characters! Mouth, Chunk and Mikey are her favorites! We then read almost every book she has, played house, shoots and ladders and hide and go seek! I figure if she had to be sick, we made the best of it! It may have been a sick day, but it was most definitely still a fun day!
