I remember watching one of Chris Rock’s comedy specials where he talked about his Dad’s love of Robitussin, and how he thought it could cure anything! Chris proceeded to talk about the time he broke his arm his Dad said, “Just put a little tussin on it and you’ll be fine!” Kind of like in, “My Big Fat Greek Wedding!” The Dad’s love of Windex! He thought Windex could cure anything! I laughed so hard when I watched both of those, because I feel the same way about Neosporin!
When in doubt put Neosporin on it I say! I really am convinced it can cure anything! I use it for everything! A cut or scratch….yep! A bad break out…..every time! Dry cuticles….oh yeah! Chapped lips……true! I kind of have an obsession! In fact, I always have a small tube of it in my purse! LOL! When they invented the band-aids with Neosporin already on them….you know I bought several boxes! The only thing I haven’t tried is the To Go spray! If I’m being honest, I have a total of 4 tubes of Neosporin in my house! LOL! As a result of my obsession, Doug refuses to use it! He’s had some terrible cuts, and will literally not let me put it on him! He says I use enough for the both of us! Which is sad but true!
I have a passion for the effectiveness of Neosporin! I burnt myself horrible on the oven about a month ago! FYI, an oven set on 450 degrees is not kind to skin! Anyway, it blistered instantly, and I thought for sure I would have a terrible scar! It was huge too! Almost the entire length of the front of my wrist! It looked just awful! Then after a couple of days, the skin started to get all weird! I went to the doctor, and had her look at it. She said it would most definitely scar! I however refused to believe that because I had a little magic weapon in my corner…..old faithful…..Neosporin! It took about 3 weeks of constant Neosporin, but it healed like nothing ever happened! I know….obsessed! Everybody has their own “magic,” cure for things! Honey, olive oil, vinegar, aloe vera, toothpaste, I’ve heard of a lot, but for me they will all be second to the one and only Neosporin!!
Lots of Love,
